Good to know.
My little pal. Was curious about this necklace on my wall. So I let her wear it. She seems to like it.
I’ve been reading a lot lately about detoxing and the overlooked art of transitioning to a more alkaline diet. Sure fruit is cleansing and I think a great natural food for the body, but if you are fairly unhealthy and dare I say toxic, a high raw and fruit diet may be too much too fast as far as cleansing. I think this has been my challenge.
Like many people, I get it and want to get on board as quick as possible but then I feel badly and fall back into old habits or succumb to cravings. Candida is a real thing and can make a quick change nearly impossible to maintain. Or just make you (me) miserable.
So after much study, I am considering giving up fruit and the focus on 100% raw for a bit in an attempt to alkalize more, and transition. I am going to focus on the addition of more greens, the elimination of all processed food, including gluten and dairy and eliminate all animal foods.
I will miss the fruit, I know but hopefully I can kick the candida and the resulting cravings, not to mention the bloat and difficulty losing weight. I have much to heal in the way of digestion. I feel if I can streamline that up front, I will feel much better and when that is accomplished I can have my fruit back.
The people that I know who have made a raw diet their everyday lifestyle and lost enormous amounts of weight (100+) transitioned gradually and it was an easy process. They did not struggle. It happened organically. They only set out to add in more greens. Their taste buds changed on their own and guided them to a higher raw diet.
I think alkalyzing, healing candida, and detoxing slowly had a lot to do with their success in reclaiming health.
It’s very basic and not terribly sexy as far as recipes but I’m going to give it a try.
Found a great new Italian restaurant in town that makes this awesome arugula salad! Fresh strawberries and mango, a sprinkling of sliced almonds in a citrus vinaigrette! I finally feel like I can eat fresh and raw outside the home and enjoy it! (not too many places around here serve good salads.) very excited!
Dinner. What? Fresh Nuts, dates, cacao, fresh fruit. Raw vegan-Delicious!!
